Gold prices in Dubai climbed to their highest level in more than three months on Monday, with 24K gold edging close to Dh560 per gram as global markets extended their latest rally.
At the opening of the UAE market, 24K gold was priced at Dh559.50 per gram, up Dh3.50 from the previous trading session. The increase reflects continued strength in international gold markets, where investors are responding to lower US Treasury yields, a weaker dollar and ongoing economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
The latest rise brings Dubai gold prices closer to the Dh600-per-gram mark, a level closely watched by residents, jewellery buyers and investors.

Why Are Gold Prices Rising?
Analysts say several factors are supporting the latest rise in gold prices.
Lower US Treasury yields have increased the appeal of non-interest-bearing assets such as gold, while a softer US dollar has made the precious metal more attractive to international buyers.
Policy uncertainty and geopolitical tensions have also continued to support demand for gold as a safe-haven asset.
Naeem Aslam, Chief Investment Officer at Zaye Capital Markets, said recent developments in US trade policy had reduced some immediate economic pressures. However, uncertainty surrounding international tensions and wider financial conditions continued to support demand for defensive assets.
He noted that gold remains highly sensitive to movements in real yields, currencies, fiscal conditions and geopolitical risks.
Shift Away From US Treasury Bonds Supports Gold
Samer Hasn, senior market analyst at XS.com, said gold’s latest recovery comes as investors reassess where to place their money.
According to Hasn, the market is witnessing a shift from high-yielding US Treasury bonds towards alternative assets as uncertainty continues to cloud the outlook for fixed-income markets.
This change in investor behaviour is helping strengthen the broader environment for gold and other alternative assets.
Market participants are also closely monitoring the US dollar, interest rate expectations and signs of pressure within the global economy.
Geopolitical Uncertainty Keeps Safe-Haven Demand Strong
Gold has traditionally benefited during periods of political and economic uncertainty.
While some recent developments have eased short-term market concerns, ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to maintain a safe-haven premium for the precious metal.
Concerns about international conflicts, government policies and global economic stability have encouraged investors to keep gold as part of their portfolios.
Tim Waterer, chief market analyst at KCM Trade, said the precious metal had started the week strongly, supported primarily by a softer dollar and concerns about broader economic conditions.
Will Dubai Gold Prices Reach Dh600 Again?
The rise to Dh559.50 per gram has renewed speculation over whether 24K gold could once again approach or cross the Dh600-per-gram level.
For now, the direction of Dubai gold prices will largely depend on developments in international markets.
A further weakening of the US dollar, continued pressure on Treasury yields or an increase in geopolitical tensions could provide additional support for gold. However, any improvement in investor confidence or changes in monetary policy expectations could also trigger volatility.
For jewellery buyers in the UAE, the latest rally means higher prices at retail outlets. Investors, meanwhile, are watching to see whether gold can maintain its momentum after reaching its highest level in more than three months.
With global economic uncertainty still present, gold is likely to remain under close watch in the days ahead.
Dubai Gold Market Remains in Focus
Dubai remains one of the world’s most important markets for physical gold and jewellery, with daily rate movements closely followed by residents and international visitors.
The latest increase is particularly significant because 24K gold is now trading near Dh560 per gram, marking a sharp recovery from lower levels seen earlier in recent months.
As global market conditions continue to shift, the question for buyers and investors will be whether the rally has enough momentum to push Dubai’s 24K gold price closer to the Dh600 mark once again.
