Dubai International Airport (DXB) has introduced a new dedicated waiting lounge for Uber and Careem passengers, offering travellers a more comfortable and organised experience while waiting for their rides.
The new facility has opened at Terminal 3 through a partnership between Uber and Dubai Airports. The initiative is designed to make the final stage of a traveller’s journey smoother, from exiting the terminal to getting into a waiting vehicle.
New Lounge Designed for Greater Passenger Comfort
Located at the main Uber and Careem pickup area within the Car Pickup zone at Terminal 3, the air-conditioned lounge gives passengers a dedicated place to wait away from the outdoor pickup area.
The facility includes ergonomic seating, workspaces and areas designed to accommodate travellers carrying large or heavy luggage. High chairs and elevated tables have also been provided for added convenience.
Passengers can also access multiple charging points, including USB-C, USB-A and standard electrical sockets. Air purifiers have been installed to improve the indoor environment.
Dedicated Uber and Careem Pickup Queue
The new lounge also introduces a designated queue for UberX and Careem Comfort passengers. PIN-based procedures are intended to help organise the pickup process and reduce waiting times.
Clear signs and large instruction boards direct passengers to the official queue and explain the steps to follow before proceeding to their vehicle.
Travellers arriving at Terminal 3 can reach the lounge by heading to the primary Uber and Careem rides pickup area in the Car Pickup zone, located opposite the terminal.
Focus on a Smoother Arrival Experience
The initiative is part of wider efforts to improve passenger convenience and maintain high standards of organisation at one of the world’s busiest airports.
Uber UAE General Manager Tala Nsouli said the company aims to reduce friction throughout the travel journey by providing passengers with a modern space where they can relax, recharge and prepare for their onward journey.
Dubai Airports Chief Operating Officer Majed Al Joker said the initiative is intended to extend a seamless and comfortable experience beyond the terminal itself.
