American Hospital Dubai has partnered with global healthcare company Abbott to advance early cancer detection in the UAE, with the collaboration set to introduce next-generation diagnostic technology to the country’s healthcare sector.
The two organisations have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at expanding access to advanced cancer detection solutions. American Hospital Dubai will be the first private healthcare provider in Dubai to introduce the new early-stage detection technology.
The partnership comes as the UAE continues to strengthen its healthcare infrastructure and focus on earlier diagnosis as part of efforts to improve cancer treatment and reduce mortality.
Early detection can play an important role in cancer care by allowing patients and medical teams to identify the disease sooner and begin appropriate treatment at an earlier stage. The new technology is expected to support the UAE’s wider efforts to improve diagnostic capabilities and cancer-care outcomes.
Sherif Beshara, Group CEO of American Hospital Dubai, said the agreement represents an important step in advancing cancer diagnostics in the country.
