Kevin Feige Says Adam Driver Has Repeatedly Declined Marvel Roles

Adam Driver remains one of Hollywood’s biggest stars not to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, that appears unlikely to change anytime soon.

Speaking during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Feige revealed that Marvel has approached Driver on multiple occasions over the years. While discussions have always been friendly, the actor has consistently decided against joining the franchise.

“It has almost become a tradition,” Feige said, describing the recurring conversations between Marvel Studios and the Oscar-nominated actor.

Feige acknowledged that Marvel has long been interested in working with Driver, praising the actor’s professionalism throughout their conversations.

According to Feige, the two typically meet over video calls whenever a suitable role emerges, but the outcome has remained the same.

The Marvel executive said Driver has always been direct about his thoughts, making the casting discussions respectful despite the repeated rejections.

While Feige did not reveal which characters had been offered, his comments suggest Marvel has continued to see Driver as a potential fit for several projects over the years.

Driver’s name has frequently surfaced in fan discussions surrounding Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot, although the studio has yet to announce any official casting decisions.
